Recent Pay Increase

All Owner Operators will see an increase of $0.02 cents per mile starting on July 3rd, 2011. Owner Operators that have a valid Hazmat endorsement will see an additional $0.02 per mile for a total of $0.04 per mile. Owner Operators will now be paid $0.93 per mile or $0.95 per mile. This new pay enhancement will lead to one of the best 1099's in the industry. TA Owner Operators will continue to benefit from our industry leading fuel discount and surcharge program, excellent maintenance services, exceptional miles, and our typical reimbursements.

As a current or future TA Owner Operator, this pay enhancement will surely give your small business an edge over the competition.

Company Over the Road drivers will see a $0.01 per mile increase on all paid miles starting on July 31_st, 2011. More work is being done on another driver pay enhancement for January 2012. In the next phase of this pay enhancement, we are focusing on meeting performance standards with the opportunity to have a greater annual increase. This amounts to a better starting rate per mile for new drivers as well as the opportunity to reach upper pay levels faster.

Insurance

We offer a medical insurance package that can be tailored to your needs. Medical insurance contributions are deducted pre-tax to save you money. We also offer short-term disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, and flexible spending accounts

Monthly Performance Bonus

Transport America leads the industry in rewarding drivers. We offer a monthly performance bonus. Company drivers can earn up to an additional $.02 per mile, every month, for meeting equipment operational goals. You can earn all or part of the bonus every month.

HazMat Pay and Bonus

Earn an additional $.04 per mile for HazMat loads and we pay a $100 incentive upon getting your endorsement.

Referral Bonus

You'll love driving for Transport America, and the more you tell others about us, the more you can earn. Earn an EXTRA $500 for every experienced driver or owner operator you refer who is hired or leased by Transport America. There is NO limit on the number of drivers you can refer and a bonus will be added for EVERY referral hired or leased and meets the retention criteria.

Accessorial Pay

Drivers will earn extra pay for the following non-driving services: Stop-offs, Unload/Assist, Layover, Detention, NYC, and Canadian Border Cross.

We also offer Guaranteed Home Time Certificates issued to all our drivers, every quarter for the time you need to be home, guaranteed; "SurePay," which allows our drivers to verify and approve their pay at the completion of every load; as well as In-Cab e-mail, a Passenger Program, and an Employee Assistance Program.
